How it works
Three steps, and every number can be traced to a line of text.
1. Capture
On a job page, open the applyfit side panel. The extension reads the posting you are looking at (title, company, location, description) and shows it to you for editing. It does nothing until you ask, and it never browses in the background. If a page cannot be read, paste the text instead.
2. Compare
Pick a resume. applyfit rates five dimensions, each with a fixed weight:
| Dimension | Weight | What is checked |
|---|---|---|
| Required qualifications | 35% | Each requirement: met, partial or missing |
| Core responsibilities | 25% | Have you done the work described |
| Keywords | 15% | Terms the posting stresses, found or not in your resume |
| Seniority | 15% | Level asked for against your level |
| Industry context | 10% | Same, adjacent, transferable or unrelated |
A dimension with nothing to score is left out and the others are rescaled.
3. Decide
70 or more is Apply now. 40 to 69 is Review first. Under 40 is Move on. The bands are a prompt to look closer, not a verdict on you.
Why you can check it
The model returns item ratings and quotes. Our code then confirms each quote appears in your resume, and computes the score. Asking the same question of the same resume and posting returns the stored result without using your monthly allowance.
